Drabble/Fic Alphabet Meme of Doom v2.0

emiliglia: (himym)
I did this last year. I kinda want to do it again, but I don't want to feel like I have to obsessively write everything immediately like I did last year. So...leave a prompt and hopefully, the next time I'm suffering writer's block or have no ideas, this will save the day. :)

For those unfamiliar, first pick a letter. Then pick a fandom (or a crossover) and a character or pairing. For example, H is for Hug, Michael/Pam (The Office). In turn you'll receive a drabble/ficlet of some kind.

Fandoms: Star Trek Reboot (regular and Mirrorverse - do I even need to mention my pairing of choice? don't expect me to split them up), Lost, Supernatural (up to "Swap Meat"), Band of Brothers, Buffyverse, Firefly, House MD, Criminal Minds, How I Met Your Mother, Firefly, and Life/Standoff.

Letters claimed: 17/26

I kinda want to write it now but without other prompts yet, then I'll be left with nothing. :P

Yay!! So, um.... *ponders*

R is for Romeo, Lost, Juliet. corny I know, but I've always wanted to see it done :)

Feel free to pick Mirror/Regular according to where the muse goes :)

Orientation almost wants to be Mirrorverse. Because the brain wants to know what the Imperial Academy's orientation would entail.

K is for Karaoke. Chekov/Sulu. Sulu gets drunk on shore leave and sings Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy by Queen to Chekov. Your choice if they're a couple or not.

Good Old Fashioned Lover.mp3 (http://www.mediafire.com/?mrtcbjmkeim) in case you want it. :D

Apr. 17th, 2010 11:10 pm (UTC)
Oh boy that's a mental image. And I love Queen. Although you're really only supposed to give me a word and a pairing/character but...you might have convinced me. :P I can't guarantee drunken shore leave but I do love the song choice.

Augh. I read directions well, don't I? *facedesk* Please, write what you want! I will just sit here and try not to be embarrassed.
[identity profile] emiliglia.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 18th, 2010 01:52 pm (UTC)
LOL no need to be embarrassed! If I went the singing route, I wouldn't have had the slightest idea what the song would be. It'll either be that or Chekov's confusion over the way Sulu pronounces karaoke vs everyone else. Probably.

V is for verisimilitude, Mirror Kirk/Bones

:D

I like all these long, sexy words I'm getting. XD

A is for auto-erotic, either Mirrorverse Kirk/McCoy or Charlie/Matt. :-D?
[identity profile] emiliglia.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 18th, 2010 06:46 pm (UTC)
I'm going to take it for Kirk/McCoy because...I can't see Charlie willingly taking it or doing it. But give me a word for them too! (Can TOTES double dip, I say.)

Well, if you don't mind me prompting twice, then how about P for pining for those two? ♥
[identity profile] emiliglia.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 19th, 2010 01:44 pm (UTC)
Oh, no, I definitely don't mind multiple claims! I had to keep begging for prompts last year to get all the letters filled. :P And I'll take any excuse to write more Eyebrows/Pants.

Let's see...

H is for Haphazard - Supernatural, Sam
M is for Maladjusted - Firefly :D :D :D
B is for Blunder - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spike

Did you want anyone specific for Firefly or is it my choice?
[identity profile] crowgirl13.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 20th, 2010 02:43 am (UTC)
Author's choice on Firefly. :) And you can feel free to do pairings with whomever you want on any of those too.

Apr. 21st, 2010 08:33 pm (UTC)
Excellent. Although it might take a bit because your prompt made me go, "Huh - I can't remember the last time I watched any Firefly." Shame on me!

S...is for soul: Karl/Chris (RPS) (or just McCoy/Kirk, if you prefer)
[identity profile] emiliglia.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 20th, 2010 02:31 am (UTC)
I have been known to write RPS if its been prompted of me, just yet to do it on my own accord. :P

I've noticed the pairing order is different than what I usually see...this mean you'd prefer toppy Karl or Bones?
[identity profile] abigail89.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 20th, 2010 02:38 am (UTC)
Oh... um...It's sort of unconscious. I'm a McCoy girl, through and through. I guess I think of his name first.

I would LOVE to give you the push to write RPS, but either way is fine with me.
[identity profile] emiliglia.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 21st, 2010 08:35 pm (UTC)
Ah, okay. I've noticed I tend to go with what just "sounds" better, which seems to be either alphabetical or the monosyllabic name first, for some reason. Not all the time, but usually.

F is for Flotation Device; Alternate!Jack/Boone, preferably with Original-Timeline bleed-through.

(And if I'm still allowed more than one...)

C is for Criminal; Alternate!Jack/Sawyer, as Jack grows increasingly confused about all the things he can't seem to remember, he falls prey once again to prescription drug abuse. This time, though, he takes it a step too far, and the law (Sawyer and Miles FTW!) catches up with him. (And if you feel so inclined, I've been pondering various permutations of the Alternate!Jack/Sawyer/Miles threesome of late - so if you're inspired to work Miles into the action? I'd probably flail a little bit :D)
[identity profile] emiliglia.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 22nd, 2010 06:20 pm (UTC)
Certainly allowed more than one! And I'm kinda flailing at both of them. But I'll have to think of how Sawyer would come in because I'm kinda confused about what kind of detective he is, trying to catch a con man in Recon and then working homicide in The Last Recruit.

E is for Erudite - Kirk/Bones, because genius and competence is hot!!!!!!! (I blame you for that one!)

Z is for Zeal - Boone, Lost

J is for Juxtaposition - Ensemble, Lost

And if you need any more filling, let me know :)
[identity profile] emiliglia.livejournal.com wrote:
Apr. 22nd, 2010 06:22 pm (UTC)
Competence is hot! It's why I'm always crushing on the vets I work with. XD

I'll have to definitely think about your J request since I don't think I've done an ensemble piece before. Have a hard time balancing characters. :P Unless I'm really vague and the narration could be any of them. Uh oh - ideas are forming.
