Title: For You I'd Wait ('Til Kingdom Come)
Pairings: James/Juliet, James/Charlotte
Song: "'Til Kingdom Come" by Coldplay
Warnings: spoilers for "Recon" and "The End"
Summary: For the
hc_bingo prompt
forced soul-bonding where I took the approach of the-island-made-them-do-it and a different type of soul-bond.
Vidder's Note: Extra special thanks to
hitlikehammers and
fosfomifira for hooking me up with the episodes in the format I needed. :) This is a different vid than what I normally do, more letting the scene and the music speak for themselves than trying to do any editing to tell a story.

ETA: I think it's Vimeo because my other vid isn't working either. They have this option that's a "new" embed code that works for iPads/iPhones/etc and then you click a link to get to the old one. And they all don't seem to work. Gah. I'll add a link that goes to the Vimeo page, but I don't like how huge they display the vid.
ETA2: It seemed to work when I was logged into Vimeo but once I logged off it stopped working. So I turned off the password protection, and it seems to work now, even when I'm logged off. Maybe now?

and you totally made me cry, too. I've always found them cute without shippy feelings but wow that was effective! the song is perfect and I absolutely love how you did the montage.
I think it's a great take on soul-bonding! =D
*gives you tissues*
The montage was how it was in the show, so I can't take credit for it. Everything from the vending machine onward was left as is, so all I really did was edit in some bits from Recon, but I thought that made it more of a narrative on James feeling like something's missing but not knowing it was Juliet until the island whammy made them remember everything and, yeah... TL, DR.
I figured it's their literal souls, so that should count, right? And since we didn't actually see them planning to meet in the afterlife, it had to have been the island...forcing its hand. *creative interpretation is creative* :P
Anyway, thank you! I'd apologize for making you cry, but I'm not really sorry seeing as that's kinda the effect I knew everything was going to have.
