emiliglia: (sawyer)
I need to go make dinner since it's like 7:30 but I wanted to post this first since I've been sitting on it for two weeks now until I got Internet which I finally did last night so, yay, another fanmix!

Because it's Sawyer, there's some heavier music in this mix, but it might also be the most depressing.

You'll notice some of these songs are contradictory...that's intentional. Sawyer is contradictory, in case you didn't notice. ;) But I love him.

1. "Disarm" by Smashing Pumpkins

Disarm you with a smile / And leave you like they left me here / To wither in denial / The bitterness of one who's left alone / Ooh, the years burn / Ooh, the years burn, burn, burn

I used to be a little boy / So old in my shoes / And what I choose is my voice / What's a boy supposed to do? / The killer in me is the killer in you / My love, I send this smile over to you

2. "In My Place" by Coldplay

Yeah, how long must you wait for him? / Yeah, how long must you pay for him?

3. "Sober" by Tool

I am just a worthless liar / I am just an imbecile / I will only complicate you / Trust in me and fall as well

4. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me / My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating / Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me / 'Til then I walk alone

5. "Mad World" cover by Gary Jules

And I find it kind of funny / I find it kind of sad / The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had

6. "Creep" by Radiohead

I want you to notice / When I'm not around / You're so fuckin' special / I wish I was special

7. "The Outsider" by A Perfect Circle

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet at a time / What's your hurry, everyone will have his day to die / If you choose to pull the trigger, should your drama prove sincere / Do it somewhere far away from here

8. "Headstrong" by Trapt

Back off I'll take you on / Headstrong to take on anyone / I know that you are wrong / Headstrong, we're headstrong / Back off I'll take you on / Headstrong to take on anyone / I know that you are wrong and this is not where you belong

9. "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars

I tried to be someone else / But nothing seemed to change / I know now, this is who I really am inside / Finally found myself / Fighting for a chance / I know now, this is who I really am

10. "Always" by Saliva

I see, the blood all over your hands / Does it make you feel, more like a man / Was it all, just a part of your plan / The pistol's shakin' in my hands / And all I hear is the sound

11. "Headlights" by Snow Patrol

For once I want to be the car crash / Not always just the traffic jam / Hit me hard enough to wake me / And lead me wild to your dark roads

Headlights before me / So beautiful, so clear / Reach out and take it / 'Cause I'm so tired of all this fear

12. "Vindicated" by Dashboard Confessional

Defenses paper thin / Just one touch and I'll be in / Too deep now to ever swim against the current / So let me slip away

If you are interested in downloading, there's a zip file with all 12 tracks and CD covers over at Sendspace.

Hope you like it! :)

"Always" by Saliva is the perfect song for an angsty relationship - I put it in there with Jack/Sawyer in mind. The Gary Jules song is so depressing... I know it from Donnie Darko and I love it but it's so sad. I heard it on the radio on the way to work once a couple years ago and had to pull over because I started crying.

Thanks! So fun. You know, Boulevard of Broken Dreams has reminded me of Sawyer since I first heard it.

It made me think of Sawyer until I realized it's about Hollywood Boulevard so I think of it for Sawyer a little less now but it still works in general. :) Glad you like it!
