Breathing Fire, a Jack Shephard fanmix

Because I felt bad for thinking Jack is gonna get killed off for no good reason and then bastardized him in a story for no good reason (and then made him have an emotional breakdown in the latest chapter of In Admiration, although I think that was for a good reason), I made a Jack fanmix.

1. Chad Kroeger - Hero
And they say that a hero can save us
I'm not gonna stand here and wait

2. Keane - A Bad Dream
I made a Jack/Sawyer music video to this song and I think it brainwashed me into thinking this song is really good for Jack. I made the video for [livejournal.com profile] elise_509's luau queen day, but you guys can all watch if you want. I put it here on YouTube so you don't have to download it. Although it's only a few posts down if you want to download it - also memmed in the Picture Posts section.

3. The Fray - How to Save a Life
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

4. Barenaked Ladies - Call and Answer
I think it's kinda Jack/Sawyer-esque. Or at least would work really well in a Jack/Sawyer context.

5. Snow Patrol - Ways and Means
Doctor make it better instantly
You're the only one who can
I've waited here my whole damn life
And I've forgotten what I wanted

6. Matchbox 20 - Real World
I wish the real world would just stop hassling me

7. Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

8. A Perfect Circle - Sleeping Beauty
Kinda Jack/Kate, I guess, but it's about not being able to fix someone emotionally and I think it works best for Kate although Sawyer would work if you pretend it's not about a woman.

9. Damien Rice - Volcano
What I am to you is not real
What I am to you, you do not need

10. Coldplay - Fix You
You just can't have a Jack fanmix without this song, so don't even question that it's here, and I don't need lyrical proof to show why it belongs.

11. Moby - Extreme Ways
This song makes me think of Jack in Thailand even though we know absolutely nothing about Jack in Thailand.

12. Rob Zombie - Foxy, Foxy
More of a bonus track that I think is funny because if I wrote RPS it would involve Matthew, Josh, a striptease, and this song. But alas, I don't write RPS, I can just listen to this song and have the mental images.

So you go here to download all 14 tracks as well as the front and back CD covers. Enjoy!

ETA: "Real World" is a WMV file, which means it's write protected and won't burn on a CD. I put an MP3 version here, so that will work instead.

I have all those songs..DAMN, but excellent list..I mean, The FRAY!! Plus, if it's still available on iTunes try to get the live version of Fix You..I'm like a bloodhound I can sniff out music at 100 paces..especially live music.

And Foxy, Foxy, the first time I heard that..other than thinking of Foxy, I was thinking that Rob's song will be played in ever strip joint from here to Thailand..and back.

Ooooh...live Fix You... I'll need to find a horribly illegal way to get it (it's not pirating if you have the CD, right?) because I don't even want to buy anything from iTunes in fear of starting to spend all my money at iTunes. ;)

If Foxy, Foxy isn't being played in strip clubs, I will be highly disappointed with the strip club industry. It's funny because Rob Zombie is so like hardcore and heavy but there's a lot of fun stuff to dance to.

I try to stay clear of iTunes..except for the tv shows because I really have to say, they look fantastic on my iPod, it's just like watching them on tv..I don't know who does the compression, but big props to that person..and usually I will only get a song that is impossible to find..like I was looking for an Andrews Sisters song..and honestly I wasn't going to pay 14 dollars for that one song..plus the artists are getting some money, so I don't feel bad at all..plus, I usually just go and buy the cd's (that is why I have so many I lose track of them), but that's jut me, we have a great cd store here where you can get great new cd's very cheap.

I'm jealous - I can't wait until my iPod dies and I can upgrade to a video. Although I hope that doesn't happen until after I graduate because I just know I'll be watching TV in class instead of paying attention.

When I get songs, I download the albums and then if I like it enough I buy the CD. Usually I'll like a random song by an artist and nothing else, so I just get that song, but I don't pay for it. It's awful, I know, but I'm poor. I download all my TV shows, too, but I don't pay for those either since I get the boxed sets when those are released.

What fun! Thanks!

fyi, I couldn't burn Real World. I think it's protected.

Hee, thanks and you're welcome!

And then boo, I just checked, it's a WMA file. *shakes fist* I thought I'd gotten rid of all of them. I'll try to find an MP3 version.
