This week was drabble mania at
lostsquee culminating in the quick fire challenge that was, oh, 2 hours ago. I requested 5 this year even though last year I asked for 6. This year ended up having 20 minutes left and thinking how I could've asked for at least 8, but oh well. :P
I hope you guys on my flist who participated post yours to your accounts, too, because it's hard for me to navigate the drabble threads.
My "separation" and "knife" drabbles were done for the weekend challenge and the other 5 were for quick fire.
Juliet, Sawyer/Juliet
100 words
S6 spoilers
Prompt: separation
There's one of her in agony, being held by James as she dies, while the other is off the island, far, far away. The separation of her consciousness is jarring, moreso than the fact that she has uncountable internal injuries and can taste her own blood on James' lips.
She wants to tell him something, and it's so important, but it hurts too much to stay, and when she sees him inside a coffee shop, reading a book, she doesn't get to finish because she'd rather stay there, in the sun, knowing she can still have James without this hell.

Boone, Jack/Boone preslash if you see it like I do ;)
100 words
S6 spoilers
Prompt: knife
Boone wakes in a cold sweat.
He'd dreamed he was in a jungle, bound, straining for a knife just out of reach as Shannon's screams echoed through the trees, carried on the humid air.
He throws on some clothes, needing to go for a walk, clear his head, and ends up at a bar.
The only stool available is next to a man who's vaguely familiar. Boone remembers why when his drink arrives. "You were on my flight from Sydney - the doctor."
"Yeah, that was me."
Small talk leads to introductions, and when Boone meets Jack, his nightmare's inexplicably forgotten.

Dan, Dan/Charlotte
100 words
S5 spoilers
Prompt: planetary
Daniel wonders, when the record skips, if this is what being inside a solar eclipse looks like. The perfect alignment of the sun, moon, and Earth. A planetary... No, that's not the right word... A celestial dance, occurring so rarely that it's marveled by all, some as a gift, others a curse.
This dance, with the music offbeat, out of tune, is no gift. It's a curse, and it's the wrong combination of Charlotte, Daniel, and the island. Someone needs to cut in, take his place, spin her to the right time and keep her here before it's too late.

Sayid
100 words
S5 spoilers
Prompt: method
The truth serum is singing through Sayid's veins. It's too bad, he thinks, that they drugged him for this. He received worse from Rousseau, caused worse himself. These DHARMA people could stand to learn a thing or two from him. Their method is nothing like his.
Whatever they gave him is freeing. He laughs and taunts because he can; it feels good. The drug's the only think keeping him from feeling like he deserves this.
He watches Sawyer pace in the distance, unable to watch, rubbing his arm where Sayid knows there's a scar.
Sayid's too high to feel guilt.

Shannon, Sawyer/Boone
100 words
Prompt: boredom
It's boredom that attracts her to Sawyer.
She normally goes for money, but that doesn't matter as long as they're on this hellhole. Sawyer's stash is as good as money, though, and the way the others avoid him gives Shannon an in.
He goes into the jungle, alone, and Shannon follows a few minutes later. She doesn't expect to see Sawyer holding her goddamn brother against a tree, kissing him roughly, one hand down Boone's jeans as the other holds his wrists bound above his head.
Shannon returns to the beach, sulking. Why does Boone always ruin all her fun?

Jacob, Hurley
100 words
S6 spoilers
Prompt: underestimate
They wouldn't underestimate him, Jacob knew.
Hugo had gained something in his time off the island. Jacob wasn't exactly sure what to call it, but he seemed more sure of himself, especially now that he was back. Hugo had been the one of them that hadn't completely lost it when he left, seemed to need the island the least, but it had changed him the most.
Jacob needed him now.
Those on the list were important, always had been, but so far Hugo was the only one who's figured it out for himself.
The rest still needed to catch up.

Any Oceanic 815 passenger not in the tail section
100 words
Prompt: pressure
The plane lurches, causing you to grasp your armrests tightly, like it'll make a difference. There's a dropping sensation in your stomach, jolting, and then you can feel the rush of air through the plane, the sudden change of cabin pressure. You look back to see that the tail end of the plane is gone, and there's the momentary realization that you're going down, the plane is crashing, and you're going to die.
You try not to laugh at the irony. Like the last few days haven't been bad enough.
Well, you think, at least things can't get any worse.

I think the first one is my favourite, despite the fact that I'm not a Sawyer/Juliet shipper!
Sorry it's taken me so long to read them, but they were worth waiting for :)
I'm glad to hear you liked them! Was nice to go play with Lost drabbles while ST has been gnawing at my brain. ;)
