kellysparrow: Kate
She looks across the water every chance she can get, the only one of them, Kate's certain, that isn't hoping, praying, wishing for rescue. She's finally gotten to a place where they can't find her, run so far that there's no chance of getting caught.
Kate takes off her stolen boots, digging her toes into the sand. If she stands there long enough, she wonders, will the water wear her away like it did the rock?
Better the ocean than her mother, she thinks. Kate doesn't feel guilty for what she did, no matter who thinks she should feel otherwise.

angeldylan628: Families and the Second Generation (Aaron)
Carole Littleton expected it at some point, but it still felt like a punch to the gut when the question finally surfaced.
"When's Mommy coming back?" Aaron asked, his blue eyes, Claire's eyes, so wide and open.
It's been two weeks since they left LA, and Carole had hoped he'd forgotten all about Kate since it had taken him so long to ask. She wanted to tell him that Kate wasn't his mother, that her daughter was, but he was so young that there was no way he'd understand.
"I don't know," she said instead, "but I miss her too."

alemyrddin: Magic (Hurley)
It seemed like magic, to Hurley, how he'd been able to survive the plane crash without so much as a scratch.
It had to have been magic; after his run of bad luck since the numbers, there was no way it could have been a miracle.
When people started to die, it had to have been because there was some sort of spell on him. A curse on those numbers that had haunted him since first hearing them spoken like a mantra by Leonard.

There it was on the hatch.
They were all doomed.

Poor Hurley and his superstitions - which turned out to be well founded!
And Hurley's superstitions were DEFINITELY well-founded!
Thanks for reading!
I loved the insight in Hurley's mind.
and Aaron and Carole's scene was perfect too.
