Today's [livejournal.com profile] lostsquee Luau Queen KC asked for AU Ships and topped the list with Jack/Sawyer which, we all know, is my favorite. ;) So of course I obliged.

Drabble and icons. :)

Jack/Sawyer

The metaphor is so obvious it's painful.

The small, white ball ricochets back and forth between them. They strike, spinning it around, confusing and dizzying its world. The ball seems to be the purpose of the game.

In the end, though, the ball is just an object. Two men are playing the game - the ball is a medium, an excuse, to ignore what's really there, to call their desire something else. They try to hide how drawn to each other they are.

When they finally give in, it's rough with stubble and need.

Neither seems to care who won.

Yay! I'm so glad you liked them.

I think those two put subtext behind ANYTHING.

Ah, men..they can try to beat each other at ping pong, but no way is that going to work off that sexual tension..and luckily it doesn't. *smile*

Very very nice!!

The imagery you use here really takes this whole thing up a notch. I just love how most of the drabble is focused on a ping-pong ball, and yet even then, we know it's about so much more. And the last two lines, they paint such a clear picture of how it works between them and what it's like when they finally give in. Great job :)

The icons are great too. I love the contrast and the colourings.

Still catching up! You're gonna get tired of hearing from me, but you're contributing SO MUCH to the luau and I love you for it. I loved the ping pong game so much, and I'm not sure that I've ever seen it ficced before. I need an icon of it, too. I'm gonna save #6 to my hard drive so as soon as I get userpic space freed up, I can add it. Thank you!

I'm a feedback whore, so I won't get sick of hearing from you, I promise. :P

See that poker game got ficced SO MUCH and then the ping pong got nothing, so I had to play with it. :) Glad you liked, babe!
