Thank you so much! The part with Pike telling Bones about the clause was the first idea I had in my head, and it just gave them such an interesting dynamic to work with. And then of course I wanted to write a Mirror!Bones whose attitude was kinda, "I keep you alive but I can just as easily take that away" towards the crew. I'm kinda tempted to write a companion piece from Jim's perspective, and I had such fun writing evil!Bones, that there will very likely be more in this 'verse. I'm glad you liked it! :)
