Winters/Nixon Picspam Part 2 - "Carentan" and "Replacements"

Carentan

So Easy is supposed to be following Fox Company to Carentan, but they lose Fox so they stop and send scouts ahead to try and find them. Winters and Nix sort of appear through the haze together, talk to Harry, and that's pretty much it. But there's lots of looking and stuff.




Once again they randomly appear through the haze together after Blythe finds the dead German. I apparently have an obsession with necks in this show because that's the only reason I included that second cap with Nix, although he IS looking back at Winters. I kinda love that they patrol together but only Winters is armed. Nix talks about edelweiss and seems very awkward about it.




Easy Company has pretty much taken Carentan (well, not by themselves), so we go to Winters in this street/alley/whatever and dude from Able Company on a horse and comes up and tells him...something. Then battalion people show up, with Nix kinda paying more attention to the map, but Strayer under the arch on the right behind Nix is all "Is it safe to cross?" and Winters is like, clearly, I'm standing here in the open. So they cross and Winters and Nix exchange this adorable look, which is way more awesome in motion so there's a GIF after the pictures.

This scene is UBER-quick on screen and you don't even really notice is passes so quick, but in caps it is very, very, very obvious. I swear these are not manips! They talk that close! And once again I think Winters has an obsession with Nix's mouth! And note the complete disregard for personal space.





Replacements

These ones below aren't contiguous but I don't remember where it splits to other people, so I'll post it contiguous. In Eindhoven, now (Holland), and the Dutch people are fangirling/boying them like whoa.







And then there's the shot heard 'round the fandom! Watched this today and even my mother gasped out-loud and went, "No! Not his boyfriend!" :P This scene brings me much more flailing than it has any right to. I included a GIF because I didn't have all the caps I wanted, but after Winters moves Nix out of the road he's SHIELDING HIM WITH HIS BODY before Nix is all, "Fuck this shit" and takes off.





Watching the Germans bomb Eindhoven. I love how this part is lit. And then basically Winters is all, "Let's go, BB, bedtime." And again that last cap is there because I HAVE A THING FOR NECKS, OKAY!





Then the very end of the episode is kinda gloomy because they talk about how this operation was made of fail, but they're walking off together, so what more could you want? Winters says, "I don't like retreating," and Nix responds with, "First time for everything," and I die from the subtext.
