Supernatural Icon Tutorial

Someone asked, so I figured why the hell not? I mean, anything that can get bright colors out of those usually dark and kinda drab Supernatural episodes should be worth sharing.

I use Photoshop 7, but the techniques aren't complicated, so it should be translatable to any graphics program better than MSPaint. ;)

And if I say to you tomorrow, take my hand, child, come with me. )

Icon Tutorial: Meredith Grey

Due to my sudden addiction to Grey's Anatomy (although I'll admit I've only seen season one), I've made a tutorial with a technique that I found makes all those darkish hospital shots look prettier.

Going from to using Photoshop 7.

It's only 9 steps with no curves! )

Tut tut tut tut tuuuuuuuuuuuut!

Icon tut. You'd never have guessed.

I love it when I randomly figure out how to make things look pretty and then share them with the world.

As always, I use Photoshop 7, but this can be done in any Photoshop version. No clue about the other programs.

My second icon tutorial.

I accidentally stumbled across this effect and I thought it looked wicked cool, or at least with this base it looked wicked cool. I'm talking about the coloring effect but the black and white before it also looks nice, and since the black and white steps are on the way to color, this icon has two outcomes.

I'm using Photoshop 7. It isn't too difficult and should be translatable to other programs.

Trying an Icon Tutorial...

Okay, here's an icon effect that I think looks really cool with dark icons. Not only did I not want to forget it myself, but I figured I should share. :)

It's all behind the cut... )

Hope this was helpful. :)
